In this post I’m going to tell you about an app (application) that will keep you invisible in Facebook chat. But before telling you about the app, I’m going to give you some information about the Facebook chat feature.
On April 6′ 2008, Facebook launched its chat feature to give us a new way to communicate with our friends in real-time directly from its website. To include chat feature in Facebook, they added a new bar at the bottom.
With that chat bar you can easily see how many friends are online, you can view the list of online friends, and you can open conversations with any online friends. If you don’t want to use this chat feature you can go offline to hide yourself from your friends, but going offline will not show you who is online.

After telling you that what is Facebook chat and when was it introduced. Now, I’m going to tell you about the app by which you can make yourself invisible and see your online friends in Facebook chat.
As I have told you before that in Facebook chat going offline also closes the whole list of online friends and you can not see who is online. But if you wanted to see who is online without going online, then you can use the application known as Online Now.
The Facebook application known as Online Now is developed by Jake Jarvis. This application will show you all your online friends on its application page, even if you’re offline. This application can’t updated the list of online friends, so you need to press the Refresh button given on the application page.
How to go invisible in Facebook chat
Just follow these simple steps
- Sign-in to your Facebook account
- Go to the Online Now application page
- Click Go to Application
- Now click Allow
- Then it will automatically redirect you to the Online Now application page
