Today, Skype has just released the beta version of their upcoming app for Symbian mobile phone devices. The app that is announced by Skype is named as Skype for Symbian.
This beta version of Skype for Symbian currently supports more than 15 different Nokia handsets. This app will be compatible with more Symbian handsets when the final version release.
Skype for Symbian runs by using 3G or WiFi data connection. It is recommended that you have an unlimited data plan when using 3G connection. This app should need to be installed on phone memory. Installation on memory card is not recommended and it may result in launch failure or slow performance.
