Toshiba DisplayLink-enabled Dynadock V10 USB port replicator

toshiba logoToshiba has just released the latest Dynadock V10 (PA3778E-1PRP) which is categorized as a USB port replicator. This Dynadock is of minimal size and weight and also has a built-in DisplayLink’s USB virtual graphics technology that allows single cable, multi-monitor computing capabilities.

DisplayLink DL-165 chip USB virtual graphics technology that enables 1080p content to go through a USB port and then into a DVI monitor. Basically, this gadget works just like the usual USB docking station but with lower size and weight. The features of this device includes a single DVI port, headphone out, microphone in, four USB 2.0 ports, power port, support for resolution up to 1920 x 1080.

Delivering crisp, fast-response graphics via USB 2.0 is enabled by DisplayLink’s DL-165 chip, part of the new DL-1×5 chip series introduced earlier this year. The DL-165 supports display resolutions up to 1920×1080 and features software and hardware advances that increase overall performance, allowing for smoother video playback.

Other features of the new Toshiba V10 mini dock include four USB 2.0 ports, a DVI connector, audio, 10/100 Ethernet. The DisplayLink Certified device also is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
