Change / Fake iPod Touch and iPhone firmware to OS 3.1.3

apple logoCouple of weeks earlier, Apple has released the new OS firmware update version 3.1.3 for iPod Touch and iPhone. This update has also upgraded the baseband version for some devices.

The baseband upgrade has made the unlocking impossible. After the release of this upgrade, some newer apps in Apple iTunes App Store now require you to have a latest OS firmware version 3.1.3 to install those newer apps on your device.

Because of this upgrade, many iPod Touch and iPhone users may have decided to not to upgrade their device to firmware OS 3.1.3. If you’re one of those then you can change or fake the firmware version of your device to OS 3.1.3 by downloading and installing the ‘Fake 3.1.3′ app from the Cydia Store.

This app allows you to easily download and install those app from iTunes App Store without upgrading your firmware. This will not effect the unlock or baseband of your device current firmware version, this app just change the operating system version number from OS 3.1.2 to OS 3.1.3.
