HTC Desire and HTC Legend rooted on Android 2.1

htc logoThe couple of new Android smartphones, that are HTC Desire and HTC Legend have been rooted for full root user access on Android 2.1.

Paul from Modaco forums has managed to root and get the full access to system files on both devices. He has also confirmed it by uploading a pictures of rooted devices on Twitter and is currently working to release the tools and apps needed to root the device.

This is not the first time he has rooted Android device, but he has already been rooting other Android phones including, Google Nexus One and HTC Hero.

By rooting your Android phone you can get full access to the file system and this enables you to edit or modify the firmware of phone that allows you to run files that are not allowed by the phone manufacturer, like themes, customized ROMs, apps and much more.

Till now there’s no words about when will the specific tools and apps be released, but I’m sure that it will be released soon.
