Apple has just unveiled an iPhone OS 4.0 for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad in the “Sneak Peek” event held at Apple’s Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino.
They has also released an iPhone OS 4.0 beta 1 firmware for developers, and this beta firmware is only supported with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G, and iPod Touch 3G. This is a first beta firmware and has build number 8A230m.
Don’t download or install this update on your device if you want a jailbroken device, that means you’ve to wait until dev team releases jailbroken iPhone OS 4.0 so that you can download and install it on your device.
iPhone 4.0 OS Beta 1 Firmware – Download
The first beta firmware of iPhone 4.0 OS is only available for developers and you can only install this firmware on a developer device.
