Motorola has just officially released a firmware software update version 1.4.8 for Motorola Cliq smartphones and is now available for download.

This is not an Android 2.1 update, but it’s an update that brings some improvements, enhancements, bug fixes. Some improvements includes phone’s battery, touchscreen, Bluetooth functionality, and much more.

Couple of months ago, Motorola has released software update 1.3.18 for Motorola Cliq and now they has released another software update 1.4.8.

Motorola Cliq Firmware 1.4.8 – How to Update

Follow the step-by-step guide posted below to update your device to latest firmware:

• First Step
  1. From the menu, go to Settings
  2. Go to About phone and then to System Updates
  3. Now select Download
  4. After the software is downloaded, select Install
  5. Once the software is installed, your phone will reboot automatically
• Second Step
  1. After your phone boot, you will receive a prompt to download the second update. If you are not automatically prompted for the second software update, you should manually check for updates.
  2. From the main menu, go to Settings > About phone > System Updates
  3. Now select Download
  4. After the software is downloaded, select Install
  5. Once the software is installed, your phone will reboot automatically
  6. Now your phone is successfully updated to firmware version 1.4.8
