Today, during a press conference unveiling HTC Smart, HTC Desire, and HTC Legend for South African market, the HTC South Africa’s local Managing Director, Quinton Leigh revealed that the manufacturer is developing some high-end Android-based tablet.
He also added that the upcoming smartphones will feature a 1080p full HD video recording, 5.1-channel surround sound, and HSPA+ 14.4Mbps.

Leigh said that HTC will release smartphones with 1080p full HD video recording after second quarter of 2011. The 5.1-channel surround sound built by Yamaha may come earlier than the HD video recording, while HSPA+ 14.4Mbps could reach HTC phones by the third quarter of this year.
