Today Apple has released a next beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 firmware for developers, and this beta firmware is only supported with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G, and iPod Touch 3G. This is a second beta firmware and has built number 8A248c.
The iPhone OS 4.0 beta 1 firmware for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad was unveiled in the “Sneak Peek” event held at Apple’s Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino. This latest firmware brings lots of new features, support, and enhancements for both users and developers.

Don’t download or install this update on your device if you want to jailbreak iPhone OS 4.0 or jailbreak iPod Touch OS 4.0, then you’ve to wait until jailbroken iPhone OS 4.0 firmware is released by dev team.
