Google has just announced that they has released an updated latest version of Google Maps for Android Mobile. The Google Maps 4.2 for Android phones brings lots of new features and enhancements, some of them includes, biking directions on the go, start Navigation from your Home screen, share places with friends.
Couple of months back, the Google Maps 4.1 for Android devices was released by Google which allows you to set live maps as the wallpaper of your phone, updated interface of maps search results, latitude widgets, multiple account support. Google Maps 4.2 for Android – New Features
- Biking Directions

It show you the biking directions, lanes, and trails on your phone. Just select the bike icon to enable the optimal bicycling routes. The dark green colored layer on the map shows the dedicated bike-only trails, the light green colored layer shows the roads with bike lanes, the dashed green colored layer shows a lack of dedicated lane but good for biking. - Location Sharing
This feature allows you to share any location (like its address or phone number) with anyone like your friends or family directly from any search results page. You can share the location or place with anyone via email, text message, Facebook, Google Buzz, or Twitter. - Google Navigation Shortcut

The shortcut for Google Maps Navigation can now easily be integrated into the home screen of your Android OS phone making it easier and faster for you to directly access, the pick a destination and be on your way with as little as 2 taps of your finger.
