Android 2.2 Froyo to feature Tethering and WiFi Hotspot

android froyo 260x300A leak has confirmed today that the upcoming Google’s Android OS version 2.2 known as Android Froyo is expected to have a two amazing features that is built-in USB tethering and WiFi hotspot.

Last time we’ve seen a video which showed that an Android 2.2 running Adobe Flash and Adobe Air running flawlessly which means it will have a full Flash support.

USB tethering feature will allows you to share your Android OS 2.2 based phone’s data connection with your laptop. This is the feature which Apple and AT&T still haven’t managed to allow in the US. Basically it will turn your Android Froyo based phone into a portable WiFi hotspot by using your phone’s built-in WiFi.

You can see the leaked photos posted above which confirms that the Android Froyo will have both of these features. It is still not confirmed that whether carriers can turn off this feature or may charge for it.

It is expected that the Android Froyo OS could be officially launched at Google I/O event.
