The Android 2.2 Froyo has just been officially released by Google on the Google I/O 2010 event held at San Francisco. This latest version of Android brings new features and improvements as compared to the older versions.
Now the Google has also released an Android 2.2 Froyo SDK for developers so that they can start developing apps for the latest version of Android OS and can also try the new features and API’s.

According to the official Android developers website:
“Android 2.2 is a minor platform release including user features, developer features, API changes, and bug fixes. For information on developer features and API changes, see this post.
For developers, the Android 2.2 platform is available as a downloadable component for the Android SDK. The downloadable platform includes a fully compliant Android library and system image, as well as a set of emulator skins, sample applications, and more. The downloadable platform includes no external libraries.
To get started developing or testing against the Android 2.2 platform, use the Android SDK and AVD Manager tool to download the platform into your SDK.”

The SDK of Android 2.2 Froyo is now available for download for developers for free from their official developers website.
