iOS 4.0 Firmware for iPod Touch and iPhone – GM Candidate

apple ios 4 imageSteve Jobs, Apple CEO, has just announced in WWDC 10 conference that the iPhone OS 4 has been renamed to iOS 4. He has also announced the release of both iOS 4 GM Candidate (Golden Master Candidate) and SDK for iPod Touch 2G, iPod Touch 3G, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS which is now available for download only for registered iPhone Developers and will soon be available for download for public.

The Apple iOS 4.0 (which was earlier known as iPhone OS 4.0) is fully compatible with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G, and iPod Touch 3G. This new firmware has also added lots of new features and brings lots of enhancements as compared to the older version of firmwares.

The first beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 was unveiled on April 8 at the Apple’s “Sneak Peek” event held at Apple’s Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, the second beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 was unveiled on the April 21, then the third beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 was released on May 5, and then the fourth beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 was released on May 20. The iOS 4 is also expected to be soon release and available for iPad.

iOS 4.0 Firmware GM Candidate – Download
