The Skype Software has released a latest version of Skype app for Apple iDevices which brings some new features, upgrades, and improvements as compared to the previous version. The most amazing feature of this app is that it now allows you to do Skype-to-Skype calls over 3G connection.
The Skype 2.0.1 is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad. The VoIP call using your 3G connection are free until end of August 2010 (though operator charges will still apply), after that there will be a small monthly fee charged by Skype. Other new improvements includes, support for iPhone 4, support for iOS 4, support for multitasking, and some other minor changes and fixes.
