Microsoft has announced the release of their earnings and financial results for its fourth quarter of fiscal year 2010 ended on June 30. They has reported a 22 percent increase in revenue from the same period of the last year.
The company has posted a record revenue of $16.04 billion and net quarterly profit of $4.52 billion. They has also reported in a statement that Microsoft has sold over 175 million licenses of Windows 7 in just one year since its launch.

According to the Kevin Turner, chief operating officer, Microsoft.
“We saw strong sales execution across all of our businesses, particularly in the enterprise with Windows 7 and Office 2010; Our transition to cloud services is well underway with offerings like Windows Azure and our Business Productivity Online Services, and we look forward to continuing our product momentum this fall with the upcoming launches of Windows Phone 7 and Xbox Kinect.”
