All of you know that earlier jailbreak for iOS 4.0.1 for iPhone 4 was released by comex. Now today the iPhone Dev-Team has released the newer version of carrier unlocking tool named as “Ultrasn0w” for iPhone 4 devices.
For those who don’t know, the iPhone 4 has the new baseband which requires complete rewrite of ultrasn0w unlocking tool. This tool is only for United States users who are still locked on AT&T cellular network because Apple is selling unlocked iPhone 4 internationally.

Unlock iPhone 4 (Any Baseband) on iOS 4.0.1 – How to
Follow the step by step guide posted below to unlock your iPhone 4 (any baseband) on iOS 4.0.1 with ultrasn0w:
Note: To unlock your iPhone, first you must need to have jailbroken iPhone. If your iPhone is not jailbroken then follow the complete guide posted here to jailbreak it on iOS 4.0.1.
- Launch “Cydia” on your iPhone
- Tap on “Manage” and then to “Sources”
- Tap on “Edit” and then on “Add”
- Now it will ask you to enter a “Cydia/APT URL” source
- In that box type “repo666.ultrasn0w.com“, then tap on “Add Source”
- Now your Cydia sources will automatically be updated
- After the update is completed, in Cydia, search for “ultrasn0w 1.0-1″ and then install that app. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone
- Now restart your iPhone
- Now you should have a fully unlocked iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0.1 which can be used with any carrier
