One of the iPhone hacker has successfully jailbroken his iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) on iOS 4.0.2 (custom firmware) with upcoming sn0wbreeze version 2.0 for Windows based operating system. The working of this tool is similar to PwnageTool for Mac based operating system.
Sn0wbreeze 2.0 has been developed by the same hacker who has previously developed tools like sn0wbreeze, BlackBreeze, and forecast. This latest version will jailbreak iOS 3.1.x, 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, and 4.1 betas by cooking custom firmware.

The estimated time of arrival of sn0wbreeze version 2.0 is still not known but is expected to be released soon. This jailbreak tool will be compatible with following iPhone and iPod touch:
- iPhone 3GS (Old bootrom pwned on iOS 4.x, and new bootrom with iOS 3.1.2 SHSH blobs or pwned on iOS 3.1.2)
- iPhone 3G
- iPod touch 3G (MC model with SHSH blobs or pwned on iOS 3.1.2)
- iPod touch 2G (non-MC model, and already jailbroken on iOS 4.x)
- iPod touch 2G (MC model with SHSH blobs or pwned on iOS 3.1.2)
