Few days ago, Apple has sent invitation of their Special Media Event to selected media members who will be covering this event. Now today, Apple has just announced that they will broadcast their September 1st “Special Media Event” online.
In this event Apple will publicly announce and show their all new lineup of iPod which includes iPod touch and other iPod models. It is also expected that they will announce the new Apple TV with show rental services, iOS 4 for iPad, and iOS 4.1 for iPhones and iPod touches.

Apple will broadcast this media event online by using their industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming which is based on open standards. To watch this live broadcast, you need to have either a Mac running Safari on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad.

According to the press release by Apple:
“Apple will broadcast its September 1 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac running Safari on Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad. The live broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT on September 1, 2010 at www.apple.com.”
The live broadcast of this event is set to begin at 10 AM Pacific Time on Wednesday, September 1st at Apple.com. The location of this event is the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.
