Apple has just released latest iOS 4.2.6 firmware specifically for Verizon CDMA-based iPhone 4 only.
The latest iOS 4.2.6 firmware brings some performance improvements, bug fixes and new “Personal Hotspot” feature for CDMA-based iPhone 4.
iOS 4.2.6 firmware has a build number 8E200 and having a file size of around 652 MB. The identification number for Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 is “iPhone3,3″.
The difference between iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.2.6 is the new Personal Hotspot feature which is included in iOS 4.2.6. This feature will be available for GSM-based iPhone from iOS 4.3 firmware.
The iOS 4.2.6 firmware is now available for download for all CDMA-based iPhone.
