During the launch event of iPad 2 by Apple, we got to know that overall iPad 2 (8.8mm thin) is thirty-three percent thinner than the previous generation of iPad (13.4mm thin) while the glass of iPad 2 is around twenty-seven percent thinner than iPad 1′s glass.
After knowing this much decrease in the width of new iPad 2′s glass, many thought that its glass would be weaker and might be more vulnerable to break as compared to the original iPad. So to test the strength of iPad glass, the iPhone repair experts at iFixyouri, performed some tests on it.
After seeing the above video of glass strength test by iFixyouri we can say that the iPad 2′s glass is much more stronger than original iPad’s glass because it is more flexible and has more bending tolerance.
