iPod touch and iPod nano – Now With New Features And Affordable Pricing

Just moments ago at the Let’s Talk iPhone event, Apple has announced some new features as well as affordable pricing for both iPod touch and iPod nano.

Now iPod touch will be available in white and new black color starting at $199 for the 8GB model, which also includes Apple’s new features like iOS 5 and iCloud services. While the new iPod nano is available today starting at $129 for the 8GB model and features a redesigned user interface, improved built-in fitness features, and over sixteen new digital clock faces.

Features Of iPod touch

The new iPod touch includes some new features like iCloud, HD video recording, and iOS 5, which is world’s most advanced mobile operating system, which includes over 200 new features like Game Center, iMessage, WiFi Syncing to iTunes, Notifications.

  • Game Center – The enhanced Game Center allows you to add photos to your profile, purchase new games directly from the Game Center app, easier and faster ways to find friends and new games.
  • iMessage – This new feature brings the functionality of iPhone messaging to your iPod touch, so that you can easily send text messages, videos, photos and contact information to group or individual on other iOS 5 devices. It also enables you to easily maintain one conversation across all your iOS devices, for free, with read receipts, notifications and typing indication.

The new ultra portable iPod nano is now available in seven colors which includes blue, graphite, silver, orange, green, pink and (PRODUCT) RED. The features of this iPod includes larger icons for easier navigation of its intuitive Multi-Touch user interface. You can now choose from sixteen new digital clock faces ranging from classic analog looks to your favorite Disney characters including Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse.

iPod nano can track the pace, time and distance of your run, the number of steps you walk, and the calories you burn. It also encourages you with motivational real-time voice feedback during your run while listening to your favorite FM radio station or music. You can also upload workouts to the Nike+ website to track your progress, set goals and challenge your friends.

Pricing And Availability

iPod touch will be available starting from October 12 in both black and white colors for a suggested price of $199 for the 8GB model, $299 for the 32GB model, and $399 for the 64GB model through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.

While, iPod nano is available today in seven different colors for a suggested price of $129 for the 8GB model, and $149 for the 16GB model. Both models are available through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail store and Apple Authorized Resellers.
