Apple has announced in a press release that iPhone 4S is one of the most successful product Apple has ever launched, as they have got over one million pre-orders for their newly launched iPhone in just twenty-four hours.
iPhone 4S is the most amazing iPhone yet, boasting new features like Apple’s dual-core A5 chip that gives you blazing fast performance and stunning graphics; an all new camera with advanced optics; full 1080p HD resolution video recording; and Siri, an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done just by asking.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing said:
“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S. The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.”
Before the launch of iPhone 4S, many people were expecting a completely redesigned iPhone (iPhone 5, to be exact), then after iPhone 4S launch event, stock of Apple dropped by about 5% which showed the unhappiness of investors as iPhone 4S is having exact same design like iPhone 4.
But still Apple managed to surpass their previous single day pre-order record of 600,000 units held by iPhone 4, whereas the new iPhone 4S, keeping in mind its same external design and disappointed people, has been pre-ordered over one million times on the first day.
CUPERTINO, California—October 10, 2011—Apple® today announced pre-orders of its iPhone® 4S have topped one million in a single day, surpassing the previous single day pre-order record of 600,000 held by iPhone 4.
iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S are very much similar. Externally, the iPhone 4S have same design as iPhone 4 but few major changes has been done internally. As I’ve said you before, iPhone 4S is powered by Apple’s dual-core A5 chip, just like one found in iPad 2. An all new 8 megapixel camera with five-element f/2.4 lens which is capable of capturing remarkably sharp and clear stills as well as recording full 1080p HD videos with auto image stabilization.
iPhone 4S also have one unique feature that makes it stand out from the crowd is Siri, it is an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done and accomplish your task for you, you only have to say what you want it to do. One more thing is that iPhone 4S now comes in three storage capacities, 16, 32 and 64GB, unlike iPhone 4 which was only available in 16GB and 32GB models.
Pricing and Availability
Apple iPhone 4S comes in two colors either black or white, and will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB model, and $399 for the new 64GB model. It will be available at all 245 Apple retail stores in the US beginning at 8 a.m. local time on Friday, October 14.
iPhone 4S will be available from the Apple Online Store, Apple’s retail stores and through AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and select Best Buy, Target and Walmart stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. iPhone 4 is available for just $99 (US) and iPhone 3GS is available for free with a two year contract.
iPhone 4S will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries by the end of October including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
