T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant to launch on July 15

Couple of weeks ago, the Samsung Vibrant was officially announced by T-Mobile and Samsung. The features and specifications of this smartphone is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S. This phone is very slim and sleek, and features a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 5 megapixel of camera with 720p HD video recording, MicroSD card with up to 32GB support, and much more.

The official availability date at the time of announcement was July 21. But today, T-Mobile USA has tweeted that, "I am told that our retail partners should be getting it the 15th as well, but individual stores may vary." This means that the Samsung Vibrant should ship to both T-Mobile's stores and third parties a week earlier.

Samsung releases beta version of Bada SDK 1.0.0b2

Samsung has just announced a beta SDK (Software Development Kit) release of Bada mobile OS, which is a Samsung's new open mobile platform. This is the second beta version of Bada SDK having version number 1.0.0b2. The final release of SDK 1.0.0 is expected this month.

This SDK tool kit will allow you to create your own applications for the new mobile operating system known as Bada. This OS will be featured in the upcoming Samsung Wave phone which will be Samsung's first Bada-powered device.

The Bada SDK beta includes several components which includes, Simulator, sample applications, documentation, tutorials, an integrated development environment (IDE), UI builder.

Android Tablet Prototype running Flash – Videos

Adobe has showed the prototype of upcoming Android based multi-touch tablet at the Web 2.0 Expo held in San Francisco. This tablet was running Adobe Flash and Adobe Air flawlessly.

The owner of blog Zendomax named as Max was also in that expo and managed to do a hands-on review of that tablet. He has posted several videos of Android tablet which he recorded in that expo.

Bluetooth 4.0-enabled devices to be available in late 2010

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) on Tuesday has unveiled more information and features of the upcoming Bluetooth version 4.0. It is said to be completed and sent to the manufacturers by the end of Q2 of 2010.

Bluetooth 4.0 comes bundled with three different technologies that is low energy technology, classic technology, and high speed technology. It will feature a ultra-low power consumption, an increased range of up to 200 feet and beyond, and faster transfer rates.

According to Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director of the Bluetooth SIG:

"Bluetooth v4.0 throws open the doors to a host of new markets for Bluetooth manufacturers and products such as watches, remote controls, and a variety of medical and in-home sensors. Many of these products run on button-cell batteries that must last for years versus hours and will also benefit from the longer range enabled by this new version of the Bluetooth specification"

These latest features will enable the expansion of Bluetooth technology to a new range of devices including, security systems, fitness and sports products, home entertainment systems, and health products in which button-cell batteries are used.

The Bluetooth 4.0 is expected to complete before June 30, 2010. After completion, the devices with this latest Bluetooth technology will reach the market in late 2010 or early 2011. [ Via BGR ]
