Last month, I wrote about the official release of the much awaited Google Chrome Operating System. Now, one of the author of TechCrunch has reported that the Google will be launching their own branded netbook later next year. This netbook will run on the Google Chrome OS and will be sold directly to the consumers.

From a recent Google Chrome OS FAQ,

The Google Chrome OS team is currently working with a number of technology companies to design and build devices that deliver an extraordinary end user experience. Among others, these companies include Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Toshiba.

So, that means Google will select any one from the above mentioned companies to manufacture the hardware that will run Chrome OS on it. The upcoming hardware that run Chrome OS will be designed by the designers in Mountain View, California who has also designed the most awaited Google Nexus One Phone.

Chrome OS was officially released about a month ago by Google. It's an open source operating system that is specifically designed for the netbook to give them the fast and reliable experience. The Google's Chrome OS is mainly based on the speed, simplicity and security. Chrome OS specially shows that how the operating system should look like in the view of Google.
